Why is ImgSTAR free?
We aim to provide quality services, however you get to use our services absolutely free. This is because we receive support from our sponsors for the upkeep of our services.
Do I have to register an account to upload?
Absolutely no registration required.
Supported file types?
We support only .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png, and .bmp file formats.
How to upload images?
Uploading images never been easier, Firstly select image by clicking browse, which can be found on the left side. Afterworlds choose category and set access permission.
You are done, click "Upload".
Category?
Whether you set access as "Share" or "Personal", It's required that you choose appropriate category the image belongs. If you don't find the required category, choose "General" or request the category to be added.
Set access permission?
Whether you select "Share" or "Personal" anyone can view the image if you show it, "Personal" just means that it won't be showcased in our gallery.
Reports unreadable file, what does it mean?
Due to security reason certain files are rejected, read "Content" section of our terms to learn more about this.
Is Hot Linking allowed and any file size restrictions?
Yes. And there are no file size restrictions.
Is there any bandwidth or space limits?
Absolutely No.
Advanced Upload?
In Advanced Upload option, you are given many advanced settings to assist with your image uploading needs. You can Resize, Watermark, make Thumbnail of all your images, and you can even upload Multiple images at once.
What is infoBar?
infoBar is the black area on thumbnail image where information of the original image is shown, information such as resolution and file size. Many people find it useful, on advanced upload you have the option to show or hide infoBar.
In normal and multiple uploads infoBar is shown on thumbnail by default if applicable.
Why are gif animation not sustained while watermarking?
To reduce server load we have disabled watermarking on animated images. So any animation will be removed if animated images are used while watermarking with text, image or another animated image. But we are considering to enable it on future updates.
How long will the uploaded images be hosted?
If it violates our terms of service then it will be deleted, otherwise it won't be deleted.
Is Adult content allowed?
No. Please read our Terms of Service for more information regarding that.
Will ImgSTAR sell it's upload and/or gallery script?
No.
